Elk Ridge, TN – July 12, 2025 — A dramatic incident unfolded Saturday afternoon when a vehicle crashed into a home at 504 Fairway Drive and caught fire, prompting a multi-agency emergency response.

At approximately 1:26 PM, Elk Ridge Fire Department (ERFD) was dispatched to the scene following reports of a vehicle into a structure with visible smoke. Rescue 13 was first to arrive and found a single-family home with heavy fire conditions throughout the residence.

“Upon arrival, Rescue 13 found a single-family residence with heavy fire conditions throughout the structure,” said Chief Dustin Peavler-Rinq. “Ladder 13 arrived shortly thereafter and initiated an aggressive interior fire attack while conducting primary searches for potential occupants.”

Due to the scale and intensity of the fire, mutual aid was requested from the Portofino Fire Department, which responded with Engine 151 to assist in suppression efforts. Medic 13 was also on scene, standing by for medical support.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes. “All units operated safely and effectively,” Chief Peavler-Rinq noted. “No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported at the scene.”

Primary and secondary searches of the home were completed, and no occupants or the vehicle’s driver were located. The Elk Ridge Police Department, in coordination with the Elk Ridge Fire Marshal’s Office, is continuing to investigate the incident.

The cause of the crash and subsequent fire remains under investigation.
